Dear Parents and Pupils
Happy New Decade everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break. Thank you so much for the gifts and cards, so very kind and gratefully received.

So to a new term. The timetable is almost unchanged from last term but please check it carefully. Primary ballet on Thursdays in Ashford will start at 4pm to 4.30pm but all other classes on Thurdays have stayed the same.

Please can everyone make an effort to have tidy hair and uniform, some students are turning up to class without all the necessary kit, hair must be tied up for all classes and Level 3 ballet upwards should have hair in a bun. If you need uniform I can order it for you at the beginning of term, text me on 07753 495135.

Half Term: 20th to 28th October (two Saturdays off)

Spring Term Starts 7th January 2019

Dear Parents and Pupils

Welcome back after the summer break. Thank you so much for the end of term gifts and cards.

As it’s the start of the academic year we would like to wish everyone starting a new school, college or university the very best of luck.  We hope those leaving the area to go to uni will come back and visit us often.

The summer term was rounded off with two ballet exam days and another year with 100% pass rate. Congratulations to everyone but especially to Ella O Sullivan who passed her Intermediate exam, just a couple of weeks after her A Levels, with a very high Merit.  Very well done Ella!

We have been asked to remind you of the forthcoming London Children’s Ballet Auditions which are being held in October and November.  The audition application deadline is 14th October so if you are interested and aged between 9-14 go online to www.londonchilrensballet.com for more information.

Uniform.  Please encourage your child to wear the correct uniform from Primary upwards.  Older girls doing Modern must wear a leotard to class and not sports tops etc.  We are looking at a new Modern leotard for Grades 4 upwards and will the students know what to buy when they have outgrown their old one. Please make sure your child has elastics on their ballet shoes and the correct leg wear, ballet socks up to and including Level 1, ballet tights for Level 2 upwards. The uniform is listed on our website www.mg-dance.co.uk .  Hair must be tied up for all classes and in a bun for girls in Level 3 ballet upwards.

Dear Parents and Pupils

Welcome back after the Easter break.  We wish our GCSE and A Level students the very best of luck and hope coming to class will relieve stress and leave you reinvigorated.

We have a very busy term ahead of us with 3 days of exams planned.  Congratulations to the students who took a ballet exam last term, everyone gained high Merits and Distinctions despite a highly disrupted week before the exams due to the snow.  Well done and thank you for all your hard work.

Exam Dates:

Modern – 20th May.

Ballet – 1st July and 15th July (both session dates to be confirmed by the ISTD)

We will inform you in writing 6 weeks beforehand if your daughter or son is to take an exam.  Please be aware that they may need some extra lessons.

If you are thinking of trying out Modern and Tap lessons we have space and just after the exams would be a very good time to join.

Wye Timetable The class times have changed slightly from last term so please check the timetable.

Bank Holiday Monday There will be no classes running on the 7th May.

Uniform and Hair Please have correct uniform and hair for class. Ballet shoes must have elastics. Correct leg wear – Pre Primary to Level 1 should have ballet socks and Level 2 upwards should be ballet tights.  Modern and tap students must wear a leotard (preferably not their black ballet leotard) with fitted black tights/leggings over the top for modern or black jazz trousers for tap.  Older ballet students know they need a classical bun which should be on the back of their head and not on the top!
