Ballet exams will take place in the Church Hall in Ashford on this date…this is for Primary Class Exam through to Grade 4. Please add it to your diary, Liz will send notices to the relevant pupils by the end of May.
Annie’s senior street class are performing in a big competition in Maidstone next week…. They’ve been working really hard doing extra rehearsals lets hope it pays off 🙂
As you can see from the photos, they’ve had a busy summer already!
Good luck everyone at Kent Dance Challenge 2012
Annie’s classes in Ashford on Mondays will now start 15 mins later to give the previous occupants of the hall time to clear up. Apologies for any inconvenience. The calendar and website timetables have been updated to reflect this change.
On Sat 12th March, Annie’s tap and modern grade 2/3 class performed their show routines (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Jailhouse Rock) at the Thanet Music and Drama Festival in Birchington. Cue much nervousness and excitement!
The routines went well and the group finished 4th in both sections, a great result for their first competition together!
The adjudicator had some particularly positive things to say…
A fun group which was entertaining to watch – rhythmically secure…
Very good costumes which were simple and effective. Good choice of steps which kept the gene of this style….
The group scored an excellent 81% for their tap routine, and 83% for modern! Congratulations to the group and to Annie for doing themselves and the school proud.
